Matt Haimovitz & Chris O'Riley

In case you missed it, Cellist Matt Haimovitz and pianist Christopher O'Riley perform a classical rendition of Arcade Fire's 'Empty Room' from their double-album CD set, 'Shuffle.Play.Listen.'

BIO:
Their unique takes on traditional classical pieces (like Bach and Gabrielli) mixed with modern artists like Radiohead and Arcade Fire have received much acclaim. Matt started his career at the age of 13, growing from a protege as a soloist with Zubin Megta and the Israel Philharmonic to touring internationally and playing non-traditional venues - bringing Bach to clubs and coffee shops. And Chris, host of the popular NPR programme 'From the Top,' is regarded as one of the leading American pianists of his generation - touring as a recitalist, chamber musician and countless major orchestras. Currently, the duo is travelling North America on their Shuffle.Play.Listen. tour.
