Guest Interview August 13, 2013
Salman Rushdie

World-famous author Salman Rushdie sits down for an interview. After the 1988 publication of his novel 'The Satanic Verses,' Salman had a very real reason to fear for his life: a fatwa was issued, ordering Muslims to kill the author. In his new memoir, 'Joseph Anton,' Salman tells the story of his years in hiding. The title? It's the pseudonym he used on the run (for Joseph Conrad and Anton Chekhov).
