Sarah Brightman Only Told One Person She'd Married Andrew Lloyd Webber: The Queen Of England

Singer Sarah Brightman talks about getting married to Andrew Lloyd Webber back in 1984. The couple decided to keep their nuptials a secret.

One person knew, though... The Queen of England. And Queen Elizabeth II was the first to congratulate the new couple on their marriage.

Andrew and Sarah are no longer married, but they seem to like each other.

In this clip, Sarah talks about...

The wedding day
Sarah Brightman: I'd just got married that day and nobody knew about it. Except the Queen.

And that's the truth.

George Stroumboulopoulos: So you married Andrew Lloyd Webber that day, and so, how did the Queen find out? Did she just see it in your eyes? Is she that powerful?

SB: No, I think she was told. So I was introduced as Andrew's wife, and then it all... Stuff came out in the press.
