It might be hard to believe now, but there was a time when Ron White thought his future was in selling pottery in Mexico and not as one of the world’s best known stand-up comics. All of that changed when the boys in the Blue Collar Comedy Tour recruited White to be part of their legendary tour. It was a good fit.
For one, White was a Texan, born and raised in a dusty little town called Fritch. For another, he had caught the eye of Jeff Foxworthy a few years earlier. After three years of sold out shows plus a platinum-selling CD, White went out on his own, touring, recording and never too far away from a fat cigar and a tumbler of scotch.
