When you were growing up, you may have dreamed of having an awesome tree house. Mike Holmes did too - so he built one when he was a kid. He also, y'know, rewired his family's house. Oh, and finished their basement by the time he was 12.
Okay, so his dad helped a BIT. In fact, it was Mike's dad who taught him the importance of doing a job right the first time and inspired his motto 'Make It Right'.
It was that passion that got Mike his own show on HGTV - 'Holmes on Homes'. Mike stepped in to help people who'd been screwed over by shoddy contractors. And he's lent a hand to a lot of people along the way.
Among other things, he rebuilt homes in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, which leads into the next step on his journey - his new show, 'Holmes Makes it Right', where Mike tackles big-time renos for the communities that need them most.
You can catch it Tuesdays at 9pm ET on HGTV.
