Surfing With Neil Pasricha - Life Online, From Viral Videos To Awesome Sites To Favourite Tweets

In June, 2008, self-described "no-name 30-year-old guy" Neil Pasricha was facing some tough personal times, and wanted to find a way to focus on the positive things in life. He decided to start a blog dedicated to celebrating one "simple, universal little joy every single day"; for simplicity's sake, he opted to compile 1,000 of them, counting down awesome things on a daily basis.

999 awesome things, a book deal, and countless page visits later, Pasricha's 1000 Awesome Things blog is about to publish its last entry. Tomorrow, April 19, the Canadian blogger will have counted down to the No. 1 awesome thing, thus bringing to an end a personal project that became an internet success story.

Now that 1000 Awesome Things is coming to an end, its fans will have to find other awesome distractions on the internet. Thankfully, Pasricha has kindly shared with us his own favourite things on the world wide web:

If you're in Toronto, you can join Neil tonight for a Celebration of Awesome at Chapters on John Street at Richmond.
