VIDEO OF THE DAY: We Were Wanderers on a Prehistoric Earth

This video by director James W. Griffiths feels like a postcard from a vanished past. Or maybe two vanished pasts: the first as prehistoric as the video's title and the second the late 1800s, when Joseph Conrad published 'Heart of Darkness'. The title 'We Were Wanderers on a Prehistoric Earth' and the video's narration is adapted from Conrad's classic novel, which was also the basis for Francis Ford Coppola's 'Apocalypse Now'.

The video was shot in Malaysia, and Griffiths refers to it as "our ode to the incredible flora and fauna" of that country. With music by Lennert Busch and narration from Terry Burns, it's a fitting ode, and a beautiful piece of film:
