The show will go on - but the Genies is now a single-host affair. Andrea Martin, who was planning to co-host with George at the event tomorrow night, had to pull out due to a work commitment. Here's what Andrea had to say:

"I'm so disappointed that I can't co-host the Genies with my friend George Stroumboulopoulos as planned. I was in Toronto, in my fabulous Lucian Matis gown, rehearsing... and I got a call about a prior work commitment that has been rescheduled and that I am obligated to show up for. You'll still see me in the show, and I will be there in spirit to support all the extraordinary artists in the Canadian film industry who we will be honouring and celebrating tomorrow night."

There are lots of ways to watch the Genies. They'll be broadcast live at 8 pm (8:30 pm NT) tomorrow night - Thursday, March 8, 2012 - on CBC TV.

You can also catch a live stream of the excitement on the red carpet on CBC Live starting at 4:30 pm.

The Red Carpet stream will be hosted by Stacey McKenzie and Lauren Hammersley from 4:30 to 6 pm. Then it's the Awards Pre-Show, hosted by Sheila McCarthy and Deb McGrath, from 6-7 pm. Finally, the live stream of the Awards Broadcast - which takes the audience backstage and grants you full access to the show - starts at 7 pm, with host George Stroumboulopoulos, voice of the show Rossif Sutherland, and backstage hosts Jamey Ordolis and Eli Glasner. The Genies Just Got 100% More George - January 31, 2012 The 32nd Annual Genie Awards are taking place on March 8, 2012 at 8 pm on CBC, and George is co-hosting with comedy legend Andrea Martin. It'll be a great show, full of big stars, celebrity presenters and great musical performances. It's a big night for Canadian film, and George is excited to be a part of it.

So what can you expect from the co-hosts? Lots of good banter, first of all, and maybe even some romantic sparks. When she was asked about hosting the show, Andrea referred to George as "an eligible bachelor". George responded "while I am happy to be a part of the Genies this year, I mostly agreed to do this because I thought Andrea was asking me on a date".
