George is on the road right now with Oprah Winfrey, interviewing her on stage at all four stops on the second leg of her Canadian tour.
The first two shows went down in Ottawa on Wednesday and Montreal last night with the final dates happening tomorrow in Hamilton, Ontario, and Sunday in Saskatoon.
It's already been an eventful journey. George and Oprah covered a lot of topics during their conversation in Ottawa, with the crowd following along on social media.
They discussed the legacy of film critic Roger Ebert:
Things I didn't know about Oprah courtesy @strombo. She dated Roger Ebert. And will miss his original voice dearly— Judy Trinh (@JudyTrinhCBC) April 11, 2013
George also asked Oprah about one of the most talked about and divisive books of the year - 'Lean In' by Facebook's Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg:
And they finished strong:
Oprah: "What I'm trying to do here is earn my wings, so I don't have to come back." @strombo: "Oprah Winfrey, everybody!" And it's done.— Louisa Taylor (@louisataylorCIT) April 11, 2013
In Montreal, George made some friends at the Bell Centre when he arrived on stage:
And the Habs love continued when the production team gave Oprah a custom Canadiens jersey backstage:
Some fans picked up on what Oprah was saying both nights and shared it on Twitter:
Failure is life at its most poignant moving you in a new direction - #Oprah thank you for gracing Ottawa with your presence.— Grace (@coachapproachto) April 11, 2013
And Oprah had some nice things to say about George and Canada:
Gotta say Canadians are the nicest people. This is my 5th Canadian city. Everyone is so KIND.Thank you MONTREAL !— Oprah Winfrey (@Oprah) April 12, 2013
