Jamie Bell on Choosing to Be a Dancer

Growing up in Northern England, most young boys don't choose to go into dance - it's not exactly the safest choice, socially speaking. But Jamie doesn't regret that he started dancing. After all, if not for that he might not have made it to the red chair...

In this clip, Jamie talks about...

Growing up without a father
"Can you imagine, if I had a father, I wouldn't even be here, actually. That's the truth. So uh, thank God. Thank you, thank you".

Not knowing where his father is
"But that's okay. If you didn't have something, then you don't miss it. You know, I feel very confident in my masculinity as person to be okay with that..."
