IMAGES OF THE DAY: Italian Artist Creates Amazing City Skylines... From Computer Parts

If you're a city person (and maybe even if you're not), there's nothing quite like a beautiful skyline to capture your imagination.

In many ways, they symbolize the essence of that community - the urban life, the culture, the excitement, the grandness and everything that makes a city vibrant.

Well, we came across an artist from Italy named Franco Recchia who creates incredible city skylines using - of all things - computer parts.

Some of the pieces are two dimensional; others are like miniature models of an actual skyline. Here's a few photos of his work.

Of course, if computer parts aren't your thing, maybe city skylines made from lego are more your speed.

Or you could always just go with the real thing. The building date website Emporis has a list of what it considers the best 25 skylines in the world. Toronto ranked 13. Here are the top three.

# 2 - New York
