There's nothing like the posed awkwardness of a family portrait. Artist Kirk Demarais has captured the stiff glory of those pictures in this series of colored pencil drawings of film and TV families.
There's something oddly comforting about seeing the cast of a well-known film or TV show sitting for a family shot, whether it seems perfectly in keeping with the style of the story - as in the case of the Fischers from 'Rushmore' - or a little on the surprising side (can't quite picture Bruce Willis' character from 'Die Hard' showing up to the studio on time).
