Cory Monteith on Coming Clean About his Troubled Past

As a teenager, Cory Monteith struggled with drug addiction, even stealing from a family member to support his habit. In this clip he talks about the dark days and why he's finally owning up to the past.

In this clip, Cory talks about

Assumptions about his life
"People have always made a lot of assumptions. You know, you look and you see this young all-American quarterback-looking dude on the show, and you just immediately make assumptions, and I think people really starting identifying me with those assumptions."

How honesty may help others
"If I can, through my experience, shed light on the way out of a difficult situation that I know many kids are experiencing, just like I did when I was a teenager, that's huge."
