Today marks 22 years since Jim Henson's untimely passing. He was the mind and voice behind many characters including Kermit the Frog, Ernie, Rawlf the Dog, Dr. Teeth, Saturday Night Live's King Ploobis and many more.
To commemorate the master of Muppetry, why not spend 15 minutes with Jim as he teaches a class on how to make puppets with household items? It originally aired on Iowa Public Television in 1969 before Henson created Oscar, Ernie, Kermit, Bert, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and only a few other primitive pals on 'Sesame Street'. But the advice is as timeless as his creations:

At Henson's funeral service, mourners were asked to not wear black and the event featured a Dixieland jazz band, a performance by Harry Belafonte and Big Bird:
