Actor Evan Sneider On The 'R-Word'

We have a controversial interview airing tonight with Larry Flynt, and one of the best counters to his argument is this strong young man right here ...

The acclaimed star of the indie drama 'Girlfriend' - the first actor with Down syndrome to play the lead in a feature film - talks about the use of the 'R-Word' and its negative impact on people with Down syndrome...

"People with Down syndrome should be treated the right way," he says. "We don't like the R-Word - we like the word 'mentally challenged." Evan also recalls watching the trailer for 'Girlfriend' on YouTube, reading a string of disparaging comments that upset him and how one of the film's producers made him feel better.
