CBC's New Music Show 'Backstage Pass' Launches Tonight At Midnight

Friday nights on CBC TV are about to get a whole lot more musical: CBC Music has a brand new TV show called Backstage Pass, and it airs Fridays at midnight — right after a little program called George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight.

Backstage Pass goes behind-the-scenes with exclusive performances and in-depth profiles from new and established Canadian acts. Head over to the show's website, where you can catch the first episode, which features a visit to Memphis's legendary Sun Studios with the Sheepdogs; a session with Nikki Yanofsky and Quincy Jones; a performance from YouTube stars Walk Off the Earth; and an unplugged collaboration from Halifax's Classified and David Myles.

The first show airs tonight, Friday September 13, at midnight on CBC TV. Here's a sneak peek at what you can expect:
