How many skills can one guy have? Alexander Safonov not only took all these mind-blowing shots of shark and fish formations. He's also a software architect.
Safonov lives and works in Discovery Bay, Hong Kong. In 2002, he got tired of sitting in front of a computer full time and got his diving license.
A couple of years later he started experimenting with underwater photography. And as you can see, he got good.

He's taken diving trips to spots like Cocos Island, Fiji, Raja Ampat, and the Galapagos, but most of these shots were taken off the coast of South Africa during the annual sardine run.

You can see more of his work on Flickr and 500px.
