Today In Adorable: Orphaned Pony Sleeps With Giant Teddy Bear

The little pony in this video is named Breeze.

He was rescued a few weeks ago after being abandoned by his mother in a national park in England, just a few hours after he was born.

He couldn't find his mother and had been seen trying to nurse from a number of other mares. When rescuers got there, Breeze collapsed and was suffering from severe shock and dehydration.

But he seems to be pulling through after being put on a saline drip, and given colostrum drips, milk and medication.

In this video, Breeze was just a week old and was being cared for 24 hours a day by the staff at the Mare and Foal Sanctuary.

Syra Bowden, Executive Director at the Sanctuary, said: "Sadly, little Breeze has not got his mum around to keep him company and although his carers here at the Sanctuary work around the clock to look after him, it's not quite the same."

The good news is, the staff got Breeze a giant teddy bear which he cuddles up with when he goes to sleep.
