Man About Town: George Surprises A Broadcasting Class In Calgary


George spent this weekend in Calgary, arriving Thursday evening after an excitingly snowy flight.

On Friday, he received this Tweet from Richard Stroobant, an instructor at SAIT Polytechnic:

Since he had some free time, George figured why not? Here's his response:

As it tends to do, word started spreading on Twitter.

George confirmed his attendance (and his allegiance to the Wu) with a picture:

He also shared a shot of himself in transit, discussing the work of comics genius Neil Gaiman.

Once he arrived, he had the opportunity to spend a few hours chatting with Mr. Stroobant's class about his career, and to share some advice for young people starting out in the industry.

And there was time for some photo ops afterwards:


George had a fantastic time meeting everyone. Not a bad way to spend a Friday afternoon.
