AWESOME THING OF THE DAY: Want To Know Where That Movie Was Shot? Check This Map

Ever wonder where your favourite movie was shot?

Well, if it's on IMDB's Top 250 Movies list, then this interactive movie map, 'The Movie Lover's Guide To The World,' might be able to help. Check it out below:

The map, which was created by currency exchange company Travelex, is pretty addictive.

You can navigate by clicking on a movie from the list (the map will show you all the locations where that film was shot), or you can scroll around the map and click on an individual pin to find out which movie it represents.

It's a little surprising how few Canadian locations are pinned on the map.

Even though a lot of productions shoot in Canada, it looks like not too many "top 250" movies were filmed here - although ironically, 'Once Upon A Time In America' was partly shot in Louiseville, Quebec, and much of the American Western 'Unforgiven' was actually lensed in Alberta.

For movie buffs, the map could potentially lead to hours of (well-spent?) time answering questions like: which movie on the IMDB Top 250 shot scenes in Greenland?

Which two countries was 'The Matrix' filmed in?

And where did they shoot the exteriors for 'WALL*E'? (Just kidding - it's one of a few listed films with no shooting locations).
