Our Top Pope Francis Lookalikes Who Could Play Him In The Movies

Pope Francis & Jeffrey Tambor

If you've turned on a TV, radio or computer or opened a newspaper in the past 24 hours, you've probably heard - there's a new pope in town.

The chosen name of the 266th pontiff is Pope Francis - just like rappers, popes get to pick their stage name.

The man formerly known as Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio suddenly finds himself one of the most-watched individuals on the planet. He's the first pope to hail from from outside of Europe, and he's being called "humble" by pretty much every news organization out there - even the ones that are criticizing him.

Which is a real departure from all the other popes, who were apparently complete ego-maniacs and narcissists?

But Pope Francis is an outsider who has risen above his inherent humility to take on a powerful role as a leader.

Sounds like the makings of a Hollywood movie. Which begs the question: who should play the new pope in a movie about his life?

Of course, if the movie covers his younger and middle age years, you'll need to cast the pre-pope Jorge Mario Bergoglio.

A few names to consider: Howie Mandel, Moby, Bruce Willis, Paul Shaffer. And if by chance, the new pope had a hippy phase - Jesse Ventura.
