Dear Street Cents,
I was hoping you could research a height increasing cream called B-Growth.
I would like to know if and how well the product works, what if any, the side effects are, and if there are any alternative ways to successfully grow.

B-Growth is $160 of crap in a cheap looking bottle.
It claims to make you grow up to 3 1/2 inches in just 3 months. All you have to do is rub the 100% herbal cream on, then just start growing.
Cartilage Thickening
It’s supposed to work by making your cartilage thicker. But this is just stupid.
Doctors Street Cents spoke with said cream can be absorbed from your skin into your blood stream. But cartilage has no blood supply so there’s no way a cream could ever reach it!
They also said there’s nothing in B-Growth’s herbal ingredients that could thicken your cartilage in the first place.
Let’s just pretend for a second that B-Growth somehow magically got into your cartilage. And let's pretend it actually did make your cartilage thicker. So what? Thickened cartilage won’t make you 3 ½ inches taller.
Plus, the doctors we talked to said that thickening could be bad for your joints.
B-Growth doesn’t have a shred of scientific evidence to support its claims. Products like it never do.
Testimonials
One thing it does have is lots of cheesy testimonials on its website. On their message board everything you read is super positive. That’s because any negative messages are deleted and the sender is blocked from ever posting again.
Street Cents tried to contact these happy, taller people. Not surprisingly, all our e-mails bounced back.
We even phoned a number in the UK included in one of the testimonials. We reached a confused woman on the other end who’d never heard of the stuff.
Negative testimonials do exist. They’re on an independent message board. It's here where people sheepishly admit they’ve been scammed into believing this cream could work.
Tips From B-Growth
B-Growth is thoughtful enough to include a list of exercises you should do while you’re using their useless cream. Some could help you with your posture but that’s it.
They also say to drink lots of skim milk and eat canned tuna. Who knew?
The Company
Tracking down Biotex, the company who makes this stuff was also strange.
Turns out the address in Quebec where the money goes is a post office box at a drugstore in Montreal.
It Just Doesn’t Work
Here’s the deal. Height is determined by three things: heredity, hormones and nutrition.
You start growing from birth and keep going until the end of puberty.
No cream can make you grow taller and no amount of B-Growth is ever going to change that. It sounds too good to be true because it is!
The only person benefiting from this crap is the one checking for money at that post office box in Montreal.
