The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) are here to help you safeguard your intrests. The CSA is a voluntary association with regional regulators across the country. These provincial and territorial regulators can provide you with information on investing wisely. The CSA regulators are a great resource. They keep tabs on Canadian stock exchanges and organizations in the investment industry. They set the ground rules for people issuing, trading or advising in stocks, bonds and mutual funds in Canada. Sometimes they're called "the securities industry cop" because they make, and enforce, rules in the investment industry. They make sure that traded companies, stockbrokers, dealers and advisers treat us fairly and honestly; If you have questions about the value of investing, if you want facts about investing and saving, or, if you want to learn the investment industry lingo, check with your provincial regulator.
