If anyone knows how to take care of business, it's franchise baron Jim Treliving. The co-star of CBC's Dragon's Den started his career busting crooks as a constable for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In his late '20s, Treliving caught the entrepreneurship bug and went on to building an empire of big-name businesses, such as Boston Pizza and Mr. Lube, and overseeing a portfolio of multi-million dollar property, sports and real-estate investments.
You can read about Treliving's journey from policeman to pizza king in his debut book Decisions.
We caught up with the tall tycoon backstage to learn about the key to making a good first impression and the business idea he wish he'd thought of first.
