Step One: Drink Lemon-Water
Drinking lemon-water helps flush the liver and kidneys, improves immunity, keeps you hydrated and alkalizes the body. Not to mention, it gets your bowels moving!
Start each day with this drink, by mixing the juice of half a lemon into a cup of room temperature water.
Step Two: Get Moving
This facilitates the detox process and enhances elimination of waste and toxins.
Try hot yoga or brisk walking. Make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body.
Step Three: Dry Skin Brushing
Did you know that you release between two to five pounds of toxins through your skin every day?
Dry skin brushing helps clear the lymphatic system by moving waste out, stimulating blood flow, and removing dead skin which can clog your system.
Brush your body before you shower or bathe - first thing in the morning is best. Start at your feet and brush your skin always towards your heart, using long, even strokes.
Step Four: Consider a Cleanse
Tosca considers a cleans a psychological starting point for a diet to begin. It's more psychological than anything, she says, because eating clean is already detoxifying.
