Post-Feast Cocktail

Who doesn't like to indulge in treats, sweets and food over the holidays? To cap off your festive menu, mixologist Simon Ho, suggests you try this spicy, warm cocktail.

After Dinner Drinks

1 oz. brandy
1/2 oz. Goldschlager
1/2 oz. pumpkin spice simple syrup
hot mulled apple cider
cinnamon stick

Pour alcohol and simple syrup into a glass mug. Top with hot mulled apple cider and garnish with cinnamon stick. Cheers!

Pumpkin Spice Simple Syrup

4 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspice
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups of water

  1. Bring water to a boil in a medium-size saucepan. Add sugar and spices and stir until well dissovled. Lower heat on stove and let mixture simmer for 5-10 minutes. Keep stirring the whole time.
  2. Store syrup in glass bottle in fridge and break it out when you're ready for a festive cocktail Be warned: The consistency of this syrup is thick and slick.
