Chef Ali Hassan

Ali Hassan is the lead comedy panelist every evening on George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight on CBC, and has been featured on CBC Radio's Laugh Out Loud and The Debaters. Ali is also a chef and a caterer, who's brought his cooking talents to Steven and Chris.

His hosting talents have helped ensure the success of many great live shows and comedy tours like We Ain't Terrorists, Legends in the Making and Colors of Comedy.

In 2008, Ali was invited to perform at the first-ever comedy festival to take place in the Middle East, the Amman Stand-Up Comedy Festival. In 2012 he was invited to perform at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and Toronto's JFL42.

In 2011 he starred in the films French Immersion and Breakaway and most recently he appeared as the Lebanese "Uncle Stevie" opposite Seann William Scott, Jay Baruchel and Eugene Levy in the hockey hit Goon.
