People may tend to put more energy into decorating a little girl's room, but there are plenty of neat design touches you can bring to a boy's room. Here's how we pulled together a simple but graphic space designed for a modern and hip kid!
Above: lighting, chair, toy chest, motorcycle, side table, whale pillows, Ella and Elliot; rug, floor cushion, stripe pillow, Y&Co; bed, bedding, Ikea; mural, Benjamin Shannon; 'Marshall' doll, charlotte & stewart
We used one graphic pillow and a white and blue nautical-themed light fixture, then made a statement with a large, graphic contemporary area rug. Both items will grow as the boy does, so his room isn't filled with stuff that constantly needs to be replaced. A simple mural using house paint or acrylic paint finishes off the room with an impressive graphic focal point.
