Question: Hi Steven & Chris! My husband and I are newlyweds and have recently moved in to our first place together. We are very happy in our loft space however we are finding it very difficult to decorate. We have spent countless hours browsing for pieces for our living room but we can't seem to make up our minds and are scared to make mistakes. We want the space to be functional for entertaining yet comfortable for lounging. Can you help?? - Hatel Tips:
You have a fantastic new space and we are going to help you get some key pieces in here.
Dining Table - We like the counter height bar that you already have, but aren't terribly excited about any of the other pieces.

Built in - In a small space, built-ins can be worth their weight in gold. We would like to see you install some great built-in shelving on your one long, undressed wall. We will keep them low and sleek as to not overpower the space.
TV - We would then like to see you have your television mounted to the wall and conceal your power cords. As far as the speakers...can we get smaller ones?
Sofa - We would like to see you choose a sofa with tight and tailored lines and a neutral colour. This one is great because we can image that you can still curl up on it and watch a movie, but it is not overstuffed with a large padded arm.

Coffee Table - You don't have a lot of space here, so we've chosen a long and lean piece. This brown coffee table will bring over some of the strength from the kitchen are. It will also add some great personality because it is covered in ostrich leather.

Accent Chair - Choose two pieces that are equally tailored, but have a bit of personality. We like this chair that comes in a variety of colours and patterns.
