Hi Steven & Chris! I always love when you guys do fashion segments inspired by celebrities. Do you guys have any favourite celebrity home interior spaces? All the best, Joanne
Ask Steven and Chris
We love following great design and great architecture, but we must admit that we did not have any favourite celebrity spaces...but we absolutely loved doing a bit of celebrity research!
ASHTON KUTCHER & DEMI MOORE
We really love the clean lines with the rustic finishes here.
The pairing of soft finishes with clean modern accents allows for a cozy feel in a large open space.

GERARD BUTLER
This space is really great because it has that absolute old-world feel. He has committed to the look throughout the entire space. Look how exquisite the multiple chandeliers look when paired with the raw and rustic dining room table.

She has a very soft style with hints of drama. Her daughter's room is pretty yet confident with the mix of pale versus hot pinks and ruffles versus box pleats. The soft feminine finishes paired with some great bold pattern and colour makes for a very trendy space. It's simply lovely.

We absolutely love this space - It almost seems to blur the line between '70s Hollywood and rustic glamour. It is a contemporary space that feels very warm.

We pulled some samples inspired by her space so that you can see how to apply the look to your own space. Here are a few finishes that can help anyone achieve this look.
Get The Look!
1. Plush Velvets - Used on upholstered pieces, this adds a richness and a warmth to the room.
2. Different Wood Finishes - Mixing wood tones is NOT a faux-pas! Instead, it adds interest and a relaxed feel to a space.
3. Rich Jewel Tones - Canary yellow, sapphire blue, amethyst, emerald green. All of these amazing bold colours come together to give an overall sense of luxury.
4. Warm Area Rug - A soft rug is essential in creating a cozy space. Because there is so much color happening everywhere else, we like that she opted for a neutral rug. 5. Natural Stone - Natural elements can be very calming. Natural fabrics, warm woods and natural stone all fall into this idea. We love the numerous natural walls that she has installed in her space. When lit at night, it looks amazing!
