Happy days! We love animals at S&C but don't get to use them on the show too often. Melissa Coghlan produces decor segments and she swears her dog is the best. He's a Japanese Chin and his name is Milo.
Melissa painted an interesting picture of Milo when she told us about his missing bottom teeth and demonstrated the grunting sounds he makes at all hours of the day. Apparently, Milo used to be a show dog but was retired because of his wonky smile. After all this talk of Milo you can imagine how happy we were the day Melissa smuggled him into the office. Talk about a bonding moment! We crammed into her work space to catch a glimpse...and Milo did not disappoint. He's amazing and we might just adopt him as our behind the scenes mascot!
When he's in Melissa's arms he seems to smile. When Strombo stopped by for a snuggle Milo looked a little unsure.
UPDATE! Milo made his debut on S&C December 15th! He was part of our pet fashion show. Now everyone can ogle over his cuteness. And take a look at our Senior Producer, Rick Matthews, he's got Milo's signature tongue hang look figured out!
