Did you know the secret to looking younger- make-up!  Beauty Expert Sandy Gold came in to show us insider tips on how to look instantly younger!

TIP #1: FACE

As we age the natural oil production in our skin starts to decrease - which essentially causes the skin to look and feel dry and matte.  So, you're going to want to say good-bye to heavy powder foundation - as applying powder on an already dry face - just looks thirsty.  And, the powder just literally sits in all the fine lines and creases - weighing them down - and you don't want that!

So, instead you're going to want to use a nice hydrating liquid foundation to add moisture back into the skin and even out the overall skin tone.

Then, to give your complexion a nice healthy glow - I like to use a liquid illuminator.

Because Illuminators, not only help you look refreshed and radiant - by adding luminosity back into the skin - but they also have light reflecting properties - that are used to help deflect light away from any flaws on the face - And, who doesn't want that!

So, with a sponge - apply the illuminator in places you want a little "lift" like the top of your cheekbones, your forehead, nose and chin.

For Blush - use cream instead of powder - again so that it will give you a more dewy, natural look.

TIP #2: EYES

Lets start with Colour.  When it comes to eye shadow - stay away from shimmer and bold bright colours - as they can be overpowering and draw attention to imperfections.

Instead, choose nice soft neutral shades that are either satin or matte in texture.
I applied a lighter shade all over the lid and a darker shade softly into the crease - to keep it sophisticated and classy.

Next, is Eyeliner.  I like to use brown instead of black.  As we get older - black can look a bit dramatic and harsh - whereas brown is soft, subtle and looks great on everyone!

And, as you can see - I applied the liner to the top lash line only. I find that when you keep all the attention on the top - it really helps to lift the eye up and out.

Lastly: Curl Your Lashes - Curled eyelashes will instantly make your eyes look bigger and brighter!

But, a lot of women say that they can't get the curl to last throughout the day - so here's how:

Start by curling your lashes with an eyelash curler and pulse and hold for three - then apply your mascara from root to end.  Then, after your mascara has dried - curl your lashes again!  This will lock the curl in place all day long!

TIP #3: LIPS

How many times have you worn lipstick and after about an hour  - your lipstick has walked it's way into the fine lines in and around your mouth?

So to prevent that and to make sure your lipstick stays put for hours - you're going to want to start by applying a light amount of foundation onto your lips first.  Followed by a light amount of pressed powder, on the lip - and all the way around your lip line.  Next, apply your lipstick.  Then Blot.  Then, apply another layer of powder and another layer of lipstick - and let me tell you after all those layers - your lipstick isn't going anywhere!

FACE EXERCISES
The first one is called THE OSTRICH OVERBITE - which is going to help tighten and firm your neck and chin!

Lift your chin up towards the sky like an ostrich, then lift your bottom teeth over your top lip, and hold for 5!  Relax and repeat 10 times.
Another exercise - that I really like is called, THE OVERALL FACE WORKOUT - which works your whole face all at the same time.   So, with this one - you are going to want to transition from a 'Sandy's' Scared to a 'Sandy's' Surprised face over and over again.

Now, I find that making noise while doing this one - actually makes you work harder.  So, when your doing the scared face you say "ahhh" and when you're doing the     surprised face you say "ooohhh"
