A longtime lover of knits, Fashion Producer Tara Williams (wardrobe from Winners), dropped by the studio to give her best tips for how to wear knits this season.

Knitwear is a wintertime staple, but nowadays you find much more of it - like knit bags - and in varying prints and treatments. Check out some of the details Tara fell in love with: pompoms, crochet, and floral prints.

From top left:
Cardigan - Stylist's own
Cable-knit hoodie - H&M
Plum Circle Scarf - H&M

Chunky Fairisle Sweater - The Bay
Grey scarf, hat, mitten set - The Bay

Pompom Bag - Old Navy

Purple cowlneck sweater - Winners
Floral sweater - H&M

Blue beret - H&M

Knitwear can add pounds if worn the wrong way - but worn the right way you're comfy and cozy, but still super cute!  Keep proportion in mind - if you're wearing an oversize knit on top keep your silhouette long and lean on the bottom to balance the volume on top.

No longer just a giant sweater sack - the sweater dress has been reinvented with a nipped waist, tunic top and more structured bottom to maintain a flattering figure.
