We have a king size bed that only fits one-way into our room. We can't seem to do anything with a headboard because of the window so I find myself using a ton of pillows, which my husband hates. I love bright colours and flowers but my husband prefers a simple, plain look so I would like your suggestions on how can I dress up this space to suit both of us.
Thanks! TL
Steven and Chris say:
Because of the size of your space, we will keep your furniture in the same locations.
Because your window is off centre and your furniture is arranged symmetrically, we would like to see you attempt that with the window.
What we did here is pick up four shutters. We will cover your window with the shutters and then hang two beside it to activate that whole wall. The shutters are from the Re-store, so you can consider the use of these shutters up-cycling.
We know that your husband is not a fan of the flowers, so why not try a lovely printed duvet cover in a slightly more masculine tone. This way we find a compromise in taste.
Because this is a rental apartment, the best way to add some pizzazz to the space is through accessories. Lamps are always a great way to add both functionality and sparkle to a space.
