IDEAS!
  • 25_japanesetape_pencils.jpgTake your favorite photos a cereal box and happy tape and cut cardboard squares out of the cereal box a little bigger than the photos--lay the photo on top and make a paper tape border of layered tape around the photo(s) to jazz it up.
  • Wrap all the pencils in your home in these candy coloured tapes.  Beautiful!
  • Find some plain paper and envelopes and design personalized stationary with some of these delicious tape colours and a permanent fine tip marker!  It is the DIY professional way!
  • Get larger label tags and begin labeling things in your home with them, happy tape and a fine tip marker.
  • Find some large paper of any kind (newspaper even) and begin ripping happy tape designs all over it and make your own one-of-a-kind wrapping paper!
  • If you have a mirror (framed or raw) that needs a colourful lift, start layering this confectionary coloured tape around it for a new look.
  • Make flagged toothpicks by putting this tape on the end of toothpicks and cutting them in triangles if you like.  It will dazzle the cheese tray like no other and is a cute way of labeling food.
  • Make a card!  Find some heavier stock paper and fold it in half.  Draw or find an image on another piece of paper and tape images/fabrics/photos all over the card collage style and add little designs with a fine tip permanent marker all over.  The inside can have strips of the tape all over it with your special message written on top.

TIME:
These crafts can take as little or as long as you like.  You can rip off a piece of tape dazzle and call it a day or you can keep adding and taping all day!  It is up to you!  ENJOY!

ROCKSTAR FABRIC FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS

25_bracelets.jpg

COLLECT:
Fabric/Scrap Fabric
Textile Trims
Strands of sequins
Lace
Gimp
Ribbons
Broken/old necklaces
Tulle
Beads
Embroidery Floss

IDEA!
  • The hottest accessory right now is layered bits and bracelets around the wrist!  Mixed up items from high-end bobbles to an embroidery floss strand, this type of look is current, cool and one-of-kind.
  • Find scrap fabrics, textile finishes, sequin strands, old broken necklaces, ribbons, gimp, yarn, lace---really anything that appeals to you and can be cut in strands as long as 24".  The ideal diameter would be between ½"-3" wide.
  • Take your favorite collection of things and knot them into three bunches.  With one of the strands knot a loop at the top of the binding knot.  Take another piece of fabric and bind the three piles together and begin braiding them together.  You can switch what is in each braided pile as you go and add bead up some stands as you go if you choose.  When you are done tie a big knot of all three piles together at the end of your braid-- making sure you still have hanging strands at the bottom.
  • Your 'Rock-Star Fabric Friendship Bracelet' should be long enough to wrap around your wrist twice.  Now take a piece of your hanging fabric and loop it through the loop that you made at the top to secure your piece around the wrist.  TA DA!  You have a stellar bracelet that you made and possibly with a bunch of your lady pals and you can wear them all at once and feel extra bonded by your craft experience!  Don't you look cool?

TIME:
From the collecting/cutting/swapping/braiding/wearing/loving of this project we are looking at an hour time buster.  Good for anyone who is of braiding age! Have fun! XO
ls at their next slumber party.
