Steven and Chris chose their top 6 decorating trends for 2010 and asked some of their favourite Canadian designers about the trends they're embracing.
Here they are...
Favourite trends from top Canadian designers:
Deb Nelson: White marble - for a kitchen counter, as an architectural element (like a pillar) or as bathroom floor tile.
Samantha Pynn: Ikat fabric, which looks great in an unexpected combination, like with Louis XV inspired chairs, and nailhead detailing, which is a great way to embellish and finish off furniture - like jewelry!
Suzanne Dimma: "Organic modern" which means warming up clean white interiors with natural textures, like woven and bamboo items. Suzanne loves the "slouchy basket" which is like a slouchy bowl.
Lisa Worth: Simplicity rules - with classic furniture reupholstered in pared-down fabrics like natural linens. It gives traditional elements a modern edge.
Joe Mimran: Pastels, sheers and animal prints are hot in the fashion world and for your home. These colors, fabrics and prints are best injected into your home as throw pillows, bathroom towels and bed linens.
