Winter is finally over and the sun has started to shine. You're unpacking those summer dresses and pulling out the flip-flops. The only problem? You're skin is a little on the pale and pasty side. Have no fear: Adriana Ermter, beauty director of Fashion Magazine visited the show to tell us all we need to know about getting the summer glow -- without the sun damage. We're talking sunless tanners.

What is a sunless tanner?
Your sun-kissed glow comes from DHA or dihydroxyacetone, which is a colorless chemical. DHA works by reacting with the amino acid in the top layer of your skin. As they combine, the melaninoids darken, which results in a darker pigmentation of your skin tone. Your new sunless tan is visible and alive -- but only in the top layer of skin. Since this only affects the top layer of skin or surface skin, you will need to re-apply your self tanner to keep your new color looking its best.

Picking the right sunless tanner for you.
Most sunless tanners will customize the DHA concentration to suit different skin tones. Just look at the package and stick in the colour range for you.

What if a sunless tanner makes you orange?
It shouldn't. If it's a good quality product, you've properly moisturized and you applied it properly, you shouldn't turn orange.

It's all about application. Adriana's process for a perfect finish:
1. The night before you apply your sunless tanner, do all of your shaving, waxing exfoliating.
2. Before going to bed, make sure you moisturize.
3. The next morning, apply a moisturizer again to make sure the skin is properly hydrated.
4. Apply sunless tanner all over body. Wash your hands after!
5. Hang out for 20 minutes before putting on your clothes to let the cream soak in. Do your vacuuming. Eat your breakfast. Just be sure to avoid wearing your favorite white suit right after an application.
