We've all been there; your favourite piece of make-up needs resuscitating, you dropped your pressed powder and now it's in a million pieces, or perhaps your favourite lipstick has worn down to near the bottom. Today beauty expert Thea Mitchell was hear to perform some CPR on your make-up bag by answering some common problems.

1) PROBLEM - Your favourite eye shadow has disintegrated into a powder
To reuse this powder, mix a bit of Vaseline with the powder from the broken shadow to create a cream eye shadow. All you do is simply add a bit more powder to create a gorgeous, opaque look. Your eye shadow will last much longer too!

2) PROBLEM - Your Favourite lip-gloss is empty, but some still remains at the bottom
Cut the almost empty tub in half and retrieve your gloss out with your lipstick brush. Then shove the top half over the bottom half. It'll keep long enough for you to get the rest out of it.

3) PROBLEM - Your pressed powder is no longer pressed but loose
Rather than throwing this powder out, make it into loose powder. Take all of the cracked pieces out of your compact and put them in a Ziploc bag. Use your rolling pin and roll it until it becomes a powder. Pour it into a saltshaker. When you need it, sprinkle some on a tissue and dip your brush and apply.

4) PROBLEM - Your favourite tube of lipstick is down to the bottom
Scoop the lipstick out of the tube with a tool and put it in one of your extra contact lens keepers. Now it's a lipstick in a pot rather than in a stick and it's easy to get at. No waste!
