Layering is a great way to comfortably transition from season to season. Winter to Spring and Fall to Winter. It's also a good way to add texture and depth to your look as well as getting more mileage out of your pieces! Elaine Iordanous came by to teach us!
How to Layer:
Key to layering is to keep the layers thin - do not layer chunky or thick pieces on top of one another
Layering should not make you feel bigger than you are, it should compliment your shape
Also make sure the fabrics move together - so mixing silks and cottons is good or wool and silk - this way the fabrics will not catch on each other
Don't be afraid to experiment - Mix patterns and colours and textures just make sure they compliment each other and there is a cohesive thread (like colour) tying them together.
