Christian's Kasha Cake
Ingredients:
* 1 1/2 cups of toasted buckwheat (Kasha)
* 1 1/2 cups boiling water
* 1/2 cup of boiling water
* 1/2 cup of dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
* 2 cups of brown sugar or cane sugar
* 3 medium eggs
* 1 tablespoon of vanilla
* 1 1/2 cups of flour
* 1 tablespoon of baking soda
* 1 tablespoon of salt
* a pinch of cinnamon
* a pinch of nutmeg
* a pinch of cloves
* a pinch of ginger
Method:
In a large bowl, pour boiling water over kasha, butter and chocolate. Let cool. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs with brown sugar and vanilla. Bring together the two bowls (Kasha mixture and egg mixture). Stir all dry ingredients and add to batter. Spread into a baking pan and bake at 375 degrees for about thirty minutes.
