A wall adjacent to a ticket counter collapsed as people thronged MA Chidambaram Stadium to buy seats for upcoming World Cup matches in Chennai, India.

The Press Trust of India reported two people sustaining minor injuries.

But the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, which is responsible for organizing matches at the venue, dismissed the incident as "insignificant."

TNCA media co-ordinator Dr. R.N. Baba told The Associated Press "the wall collapse did not affect ticket sales, which went on smoothly."

Chennai will host four matches during the 14-team tournament: New Zealand-Kenya on Feb. 20; England-South Africa on March 6; England-West Indies on March 17; and India-West Indies on March 20.

The event opens on Feb. 19.
