Danish tennis player, Caroline Wozniacki got tangled up at the U.S. Open on Wednesday.

In her second-round match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus, Wozniacki's  braided hair got stuck in the frame of her tennis racket as she went into her back swing, trying to return a volley.

The mishap didn’t faze her though, as she won in straight sets, 6-3 6-4 on the Grandstand court to secure a place in the third round.

"It used to happen when I didn't braid my hair," the 2009 finalist told AFP.

"That's why I started braiding it. Once it gets to a certain length sometimes it can get stuck in the arm or the racket.

"It's a first, you know, when it's braided that it's been stuck that good in my racket.... I still tried to hit the ball. Almost took my head off."
