Steve (The Canadian Kid) Molitor will have to wait a few more months before stepping in the ring with England's Jason Booth.

Their IBF super-bantamweight title fight was postponed Tuesday after Molitor sustained a left leg injury in training.

"It's unfortunate but Steve has suffered a stress fracture and can't properly train for Jason Booth," said Allan Tremblay, president of Orion Sports Management. "So it's not a situation where we want to move this fight back. It just needs to be done."

The bout has been tentatively rescheduled for Sept. 11 in Sunderland, England.

A communications director for the promoter said Molitor first suffered the injury a couple weeks ago while training in Mississauga, Ont. He was unable to provide additional details on the injury.

Molitor (32-1, 12 knockouts) has won in each of his three UK-based fights. He will defend his title as the International Boxing Federation's 122-pound champion.
