Cyclist Gianni Da Ros has been banned for 20 years by the Italian Olympic Committee for doping.
Da Ros was sentenced Monday and given one of the heftiest bans handed out by the committee. He had been arrested in March while training with Italy's national track cycling team in Padua.
Also Monday, the committee banned two other cyclists for doping — Davide Lucato received an eight-year suspension and Albino Corazzin was suspended for two years
