Toronto's Daniel Nestor and Serbian partner Nenad Zimonjic won their eighth ATP title of the season with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Bob and Mike Bryan at the Swiss Indoors tennis tournament on Sunday.

The match in Basel, Switzerland, lasted only 54 minutes as the top seeds broke the American twins five times and fired eight aces.

Nestor and Zimonjic improved their career record as a pair to 51-14.

"We were on fire today," Nestor said. "Nenad played well and I followed him and played well also. It's always great to play the Bryans. We're both trying to finish number one."

The top-seeded pair are gearing up for a big finish to this season after winning their eighth title in 10 finals. They play next in Paris ahead of the year-end London tourney.

"The next two weeks are critical," the Canadian said. "We've been getting better this week. We're winning again and gaining confidence. I'm happy that we're back."

The championship was their first since Cincinnati in August — another win over the Bryans. Since opening the season with back-to-back final losses in Doha and Sydney, Nestor and Zimonjic haven't lost a final.

Nestor, 37, has now claimed a third title from four final appearances in Basel. His 63 tour-level titles are the most among active players. He reached the final in 2002 with former long-time partner Mark Knowles, and the duo returned to capture the trophy in 2003 and 2006.

Zimonjic now owns his first Basel title.

Nestor and Zimonjic are 5-1 this year and 8-3 overall against the Bryans, three-time former winners in Basel.
