French Open champion Justine Henin and Wimbledon winner Venus Williams headline the participants at this year's Rogers Cup tennis tournament in Toronto.

As well, defending champion Ana Ivanovic, Maria Sharapova, Jelena Jankovic, Amelie Mauresmo and Martina Hingis were all on the official entry list released by Tennis Canada on Tuesday.

In total, eight of the top 10 players on the WTA Tour will make the trip to Toronto, although the list is subject to change.

Williams, Sharapova, Henin and Mauresmo each pulled out of last year's tournament in Montreal prior to the event

"I'm thrilled to have such an exceptional player field in Toronto for my first Rogers Cup," tournament director Karl Hale said in a statement.

This year's Rogers Cup runs from Aug. 11-19.
