Carl Everett's tenure with the Seattle Mariners lasted all of 92 games.
Everett, 35, was designated for assignment on Wednesday, giving the Mariners 10 days to trade, waive or release him outright.
The temperamental outfielder/designated hitter struggled in Seattle, averaging only .227 with 11 home runs, 33 runs batted in and 37 runs scored.

Everett recently found himself benched, usually against left-handed pitchers, in favour of Eddie Perez, acquired June 30 from the Cleveland Indians for minor-leaguer Asdrubal Cabrera.
"We are a better team today with Eddie Perez, Greg Dobbs and (Chris Snelling) getting more at-bats in the DH spot," Mariners general manager Bill Bavasi said before trading minor-leaguer Shin-Soo Choo to Cleveland for first baseman Ben Broussard late Wednesday.
Everett signed last Dec. 14 with Seattle amid high expectations, having slugged 23 homers and driven in 87 runs for the World Series champion Chicago White Sox last season.
But the more he struggled, the more patience ran thin and culminated in a heated exchange with Mariners manager Mike Hargrove on July 4.
"It's just part of the job, part of the business," Hargrove said at the time. "None of this stuff surprises me."
Everett is a career .271 hitter with 202 HRs, 792 RBIs and 707 runs scored in 1,405 games over 14 MLB seasons for the Florida Marlins, New York Mets, Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, Montreal Expos, White Sox and Mariners.
