Toronto Rock management spent the Victoria Day holiday filling some holes in the front office and on the bench.

Mike Kloepfer was named director of operations for the National Lacrosse League team on Monday, while Matt Sawyer and Greg Van Sickle will assist recently hired coach Glenn Clark.

Kloepfer is heavily involved in the sport in Ontario, serving as president and general manager of the Barrie Lakeshores of Major Series Lacrosse. He is also president of the Junior B Barrie Tornado and an executive with the Barrie South Simcoe Minor Lacrosse Association.

Sawyer will remain in charge of the Rock's offence, a position he has held since 2004. Van Sickle will assist Clark in coaching the Rock's defence.

Clark, 36, was named coach on May 11, two days after Terry Sanderson was fired.

Clark won five championships as a player with the Rock, recording 33 goals and 74 points in 92 career games. He spent all but one of his nine NLL seasons with Toronto, finishing his playing career with the Philadelphia Wings.

Sanderson led Toronto to the post-season in each of his three years with the club and won the NLL Champion's Cup in 2005.
