Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Jason Maas will have more than just Craig Yeast and Kwame Cavil to throw the ball to this CFL season.

The Ticats have acquired all-star receiver Terry Vaughn from the Montreal Alouettes in exchange for a conditional draft pick in the 2007 Canadian college draft.

An 11-year CFL veteran, Vaughn has gained more than 1,000 receiving yards in 11 consecutive seasons, a feat unmatched in CFL history.

Vaughn, a three-time league all-star, played in 17 games for Montreal last season, hauling in 93 passes for 1,113 yards and eight touchdowns.

"Terry's track record in the CFL is unparalleled," Ticats general manager Rob Katz said in a statement. "He has been remarkably consistent throughout his career and when you combine his on-field production with the veteran leadership he brings, we are excited to have him join the Ticats."

The Vaughn trade is the latest in a series of off-season acquisitions by the Ticats.

Hamilton, which finished an abysmal 5-13 last year, has picked up Maas from the Edmonton Eskimos, Cavil from the Alouettes, former Ottawa running back Josh Ranek and last season's runner-up as most outstanding player, multi-purpose back Corey Holmes of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
