The native of Cole Harbour, N.S., was the subject of a six-minute segment on the venerable American talk show.
The highlight of Crosby's appearance was when he shot pucks into a clothes dryer, just like he did alone in his parent's basement growing up.
During the interview Leno showed a picture of the Crosby family's dented dryer, which the aspiring NHLer used for target practice.

"I hit it and then I'd hear upstairs, 'What was that?'" said Crosby. "I didn't say anything. But as you can tell, that took a bad beating. I wish you could see the top. There's not a button left on it.
''After a while she didn't care,'' he added. ''But it took a bad beating.''
Leno joked, mimicking his guest: "Mom, I'm making millions now. I've got you a new dryer."
But Crosby said the family just bought a new one.
Crosby was drafted first overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins last week. Although just a teenager, Crosby is already being billed as the game's next superstar. Some even think he will be the next Wayne Gretzky.
